The Central Cariboo Community Food Hub is supported by a dedicated team working alongside community partners, organizations, producers, and stakeholders to strengthen food security and local food systems across the region.
Brianna van de Wijngaard
Project Facilitator
Brianna's background is in nonprofit work and local food systems. She combines experience in conservation, communications, farming, and community leadership to support Food Hub initiatives, partnerships, and projects that strengthen local food security and food production.
Emma
Swabey
Project Lead
Emma is a Professional Agrologist and environmental scientist who brings a builder’s mindset to community work. She is passionate about strengthening local food systems and helping collaborative ideas move from conversation to action. As Project Lead, Emma provides direction and support for Food Hub projects, partnerships, and strategic priorities.
Stephanie
Bird
Project Facilitator
Stephanie brings experience in international development, small-scale farming, education, and community collaboration. Her work is grounded in a long-standing interest in food systems, local economies, seed saving, and supporting community-driven solutions to food insecurity.
Organizational Support
The Central Cariboo Community Food Hub is a project of the
Social Planning Council of Williams Lake & Area (SPC).
In partnership with United Way BC, SPC administers project funding
and manages accounting requirements. The Food Hub team is
contracted by SPC to manage day-to-day operations,
projects, partnerships, and community initiatives.
