To create and maintain a network (hub) of food security stakeholders across the regional food system.
To collaborate with agricultural producers, governments, retailers, customers, institutions, First Nations communities, and non-profit organizations with clients facing food insecurity.

Household Food Security
Strengthening the capacity of existing organizations who serve those most vulnerable - especially those new to food insecurity.
Funding and augmenting food access programs where needed
Filling gaps in the access stream by creating our own stigma-free healthy food programs
Community Food Security
Building stronger relationships between local producers and consumers
Increasing access to local products through marketing and promotional support
Facilitating workshop opportunities for local producers
Creating more viable and stable local food economy
Strategic Priorities
1. Increase capacity for Food Hub partners to meet the food security needs of women/single mothers, youth, and Indigenous community members.
2. Work in partnership with our local governments and organizations on improving policies related to poverty reduction and local food, and meeting their existing food security goals.
4. Capitalize on our region's agricultural significance by growing food system resilience, and supporting and expanding the local food economy.
