Coordinated food system brainstorm session with local food stakeholders and film Director.
Collaborated with Cariboo Chilcotin Conservation Society and local farms on annual gleaning events. Over 1000lbs of local vegetables are gleaned by local student and parent volunteers and donated to local organizations.
Cariboo Seed Project launched in 2023 with over a dozen regionally-adapted seed crops produced.
Cariboo MeatUp event co-sponsorship alongside the Investment Agriculture Fund, featuring presentations by the Small-Scale Meat Producers Association, AgSafe, the TRU Regenerative Agriculture Program, and many other local food suppliers and supports.

Over $28,000 in direct financial support to existing emergency food programs
$12,000 in grocery card and BCFMA nutrition coupon donations
$7020 of locally-produced food donations collected and distributed through partner organizations since Year 1
Two cooking classes delivered to at-risk youth and mothers
30 cooking kits purchased for youth at-risk transition to independent living
Three freezers and one fridge purchased for food storage and donation
300 frozen meals prepared and donated to three spoke organizations
160 organic and locally sourced food hampers distributed to those in need in 2023.
